Han is a Visiting Professor at Nottingham Trent University
working within the Advanced Design and Manufacture Engineering Centre,
School of the Built Environment.
Teaching
In the past three years, Han has also worked part-time as an Associate
Professor teaching Operations and Project Management at MBA level in
the International University in Geneva. He provides courses to industry
in:

- Process engineering, assessment and management
- Quality Management and Improvement.
- Software development and maintenance
- People-centric approach to enterprise management - STARS
- High power teams
Research Interests
Han's research interests include:
- Knowledge management
- Socio-cultural aspects of advanced design engineering
- Networked business operations.
- Virtual Design teams.
- Impact of advanced technology both upon managing people in enterprises.
He works with the Nottingham Trent University in proposing research
projects for EU funding.
Background
Han's background consists of nearly thirty years working in
government, private industry and academia. In that time he has worked
for the Australian Civil Aviation Authority, CelsiusTech Australia,
several computer firms including International Computers Ltd, Saab
Systems in Sweden and in consulting firms in Switzerland. His work has
taken him throughout Australia and New Zealand, Asia, North America and
Europe.
He runs his own consulting company in Switzerland called
Leistungs Consult GmbH (meaning Performance Consulting in English). His
consulting clients in Switzerland have included large financial and
insurance firms, the European Space Agency, and diverse software
development firms. His special competences includes strategy
development, quality and process management, process improvement and
assessment, knowledge management, management of innovation, and
holistic enterprise management.
Han holds formal qualifications in quality auditing and process
assessment. He is classified as one of a handful of principal assessors
in Europe for the ISO 15504 standard, about which he recently published
two books through Springer.

in the past decade and is a sought after public speaker.
He is currently writing his third book to be published in as
many years about holistic, people-centric management, called 'Reach for
the STARS', which will be published in early 2006.
